Founded in 2018 by a team of passionate entertainment industry veterans – Amelia Stone and David Blackwood – we saw a gap in the market for a club that wasn’t just about the music, but about the overall experience. Amelia, with her extensive background in event management and a keen eye for detail, and David, a renowned DJ and sound engineer, combined their expertise to create a space that would captivate and inspire.
Initially, Gryphon started as a pop-up event in a smaller, more intimate setting. The response was overwhelming. People weren’t just drawn to the exceptional music and atmosphere; they were drawn to the sense of community, the attention to detail, and the feeling of being part of something special. This early success fueled our determination to create a permanent home for Gryphon, and in late 2020, we opened our current location – a stunning, state-of-the-art venue designed to elevate the nightlife experience to new heights.
